I arrived 29 Sept and began preparations to deploy to one of the team sites in the south of the country. Once I know where, I will add more info and, hopefully, lots of photos!
Here I am with Phil, who has also started out at the same time. Yes, no matter what, you look goofy in those hats (but they do keep your head cool, even if they are not "cool").
True to form, the Foot Guard (my Regiment) mafia is as strong as ever. Today at UNMIS HQ I bumped into, litterally, the RCMP officer assigned to UNCIVPOL here. Brad introduced himself and immediately told me I was from his Regiment - he is ex-GGFG and a member of the Association. That's him and I in this photo. As well, at the Airport in Ottawa when departing, I was able to see Lcol Rob one last time by chance, as he was on his way to Europe for business. I haven't been gone a week, and that's two members of the Regimental family!
